EH Athletics News - February 27, 2017

• Congrats to Addison True who this past Tuesday became just the 5th player in EH boys basketball history to score 1000 points in their career. The previous 4 were Dustin Smith (1444), Derek Harmon (1415), Pete Hubert (1210) and Richard O’Neal (1123) 
• The Varsity boys basketball will open up Sectional Play tomorrow night at Triton Central. They will take on Irvington Prep at 6pm. Below is the entire schedule for the Sectional.

EH Athletics News - February 21, 2017

• On March 18th our Athletic Boosters will conduct the Annual EH 3 on 3 basketball tourney. We have some new divisions. Opportunities are available for all ages and genders! CLICK HERE for more info/registration form.
• Our boys swim team competed at the New Pal Sectional this past week. Below are some of the highlights:  Team placed 9th with 93 pts 
• SCHOOL RECORDS: Chris Walton: 500 Free- 5:11.70, Chris Walton: 100 Back-59.78, Elijah Harris: 100 Free -53.34, 200 Free Relay: Harris, Henderson, Coffin, and Walton-1:40.47, 400 Free Relay: Harris, Henderson, Coffin, and Walton -3:41.73 
• The tournament draw came out yesterday for boys basketball. Below is the schedule for the sectional. ALL GAMES AT TRITON CENTRAL.
• Tue. Irvington Prep Academy [17-3] vs. Eastern Hancock [12-8] 6pm 
• Tue. Triton Central [9-12] vs. Indianapolis Howe [16-7] 7:30pm

EH Athletics News - February 13, 2017

• Congrats to our Lady Royal Varsity Basketball Team. By winning the morning game in the Regional over South Putnam the girls advanced to the Elite 8 in Class 2A. This is the furthest any EH girls team has ever advanced in the tourney. Congrats to them on a great tournament run! 
• This week is Sectional at New Pal for our Boys Swim team. Thursday night is the Prelims and Saturday morning will be the finals. 
• Congrats to both our 5th & 6th grade boys basketball teams. They were both champions of the Union County Invite this past Saturday!

EH Athletics News - February 6, 2017

• Congrats to our Lady Royal Varsity Basketball team- Sectional Champs for just the 2nd time in school history. They will play South Putnam Saturday at Noon at Speedway HS in the Regional. When they win they will play again at 7:30pm 
• Presale GBB Regional Tickets are on sale in the athletic office. They are $10 for both sessions. We will sell until Friday at Noon. 
• GBB Sectional Championship T-Shirts are also on Sale in the athletic office. Short sleeve T-Shirts are $12 and long sleeve are $15. We will be taking orders until Tuesday at 3:15pm. 
• Congrats to Jordyn Wills and Josh Robinson who qualified to participate in the Wrestling Semi-State this coming Saturday at New Castle. 
• Our girls swim team had a great showing at the New Pal Sectional. Below are some of the highlights. 
• We scored 180 points which was 78 points more than we had before in school history. 
• We finished 2 spots higher than we did last year. 
• The following school records were broken 
• 200 Medley Relay: Kell, Profitt, Griesmeyer, Ray----2:06.13----Took over 5 seconds off previous record! 
• Shelby Kell: 500 Free (5:34.53)---Took over 22 seconds off previous best) 
• Shelby Kell: 100 Back (1:05.10)--Took over 3 seconds off previous best) 
• Girls 200 Free Relay: Marcum, Griesmeyer, Huffman, and Kell---1:51.49 
• Shelby Kell: 50 Free: 26.29 
• We are going to postpone the V/JV boys basketball game on Saturday @ Broad Ripple so everyone can go support the girls. We will send out reschedule info when it is determined.
