EH Athletics News - December 17, 2018

  • Congrats to the wrestling team who were Champions of the Blackford Invite this past Saturday. Individual Champions included:
    • Ethan Boyer, Avery Wills, Garrett Friesen, Tyler Vandervliet, Alexander Burton, Kegan Kendall 
  • JV boys basketball is currently 6-1 including winners of 3 straight. 
  • C boys basketball is currently 5-2 winning their last 4. 
  • Girls 7th grade basketball is 3-0 including a great win last night over Pendleton JH. 8th Grade girls are 2-1. 
  • Boys 8th grade basketball is 11-2, 7th Grade is 9-4. 
  • Our Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are
    • HS - Ethan Boyer, Wrestling
    • MS - Lexi Swauger, 7th Grade Girls Basketball
  • Bracelet Recipients 
    • Leadership that Serves - Cyrus Burton, Carter Wickard

EH Athletics News - December 10, 2018

  • Congrats to our HS boys swim team. This past Saturday they were Champions of the EH Invite
  • Other individual highlights from the swim invite included 
    • School Record: Martina Romano - 200 IM---2:33.67 
    • Individual Champions: Martina Romano: 200 IM and 100 Breast, Garret Henderson: 50 Free and 500 Free, Ellie Griesmeyer: 100 Free , Elise Huffman: 500 Free , Girls 200 Free Relay: Romano, Huffman, Surburg, and Griesmeyer, Boys 200 Free Relay: Deiser, Bolding, Edwards, and Henderson, Boys 400 Free Relay: Henderson, Bolding, Mcdaniel, and Deiser 
  • Congrats to our 8th Grade boys basketball team. With wins over Greensburg and Monroe Central they were Union County Invite Champs 
  • Our 7th-8th Grade girls basketball teams open up their season tonight when they host the Anderson Prep Jets. Start time is 6pm in our high school gym. 
  • Our Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are
    • HS - Isaac Lewis, C-Team Boys Basketball

EH Athletics News - February 19, 2018

  • Congrats to our Boys Swim team who finished with over 100 points in the Sectional for the 1st time in school history! Four school records fell which included: 
    • 200 Medley Relay: 1:48.16 (Walton, Henderson, Coffin, and Harris), 500 Free: Chris Walton: 5:02.52, 100 Free: Elijah Harris: 50.82, 400 Free Relay: 3:29.23 (Henderson, Coffin, Walton, and Harris) 
  • Congrats to the Varsity Boys Basketball team who earned a share of the MEC Conference Championship with a win Friday night. The Royals finished 8-1 and will be Co-Champs with the winner of the Shenandoah/Wapahani game this coming Friday. 
  • Congrats to Addison True who on Friday became the All-Time leading scorer and rebounder in school history. He currently has 1450 points and 579 rebounds. 
  • With 3 wins this past week the 6th grade girls basketball team moved to a perfect 10-0 on the year. They will end their season this week with a tourney at Mount Vernon. 
  • Congrats to both the 5th Grade & 6th Grade Boys Basketball teams. The each won the EH Invite this past Saturday. The 5th Grade finished 12-4 and the 6th Grade 14-2. 
  • This week’s Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are:
    • HS - Chris Walton, Boys Swimming
    • MS - Carlyn Blue, 6th Grade Girls Basketball

EH Athletics News - February 12, 2018

  • This week is the IHSAA boys swim sectional. They will compete at New Pal. Prelims will be on Thursday evening. 5:30pm start. Finals will be on Saturday at 1pm. 
  • Congrats to our 6th Grade boys basketball team who were champions of the Union County Invite this past Saturday. They are currently 11-2 on the season. 
  • Our 6th grade girls basketball is currently undefeated with a 7-0 record. This includes a 37-27 win over Mount Vernon last Tuesday. 
  • This week’s Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are:
    • HS - Cameron Wise, JV Boys Basketball

EH Athletics News - January 8, 2018

  • Welcome to the First 2018 Edition of EH Athletic News! 
  • Tuesday our wrestlers have a Dual Wrestling Match against Rival Knightstown at the Hoosier Gym. Start time is 6pm. Come out and support our Wrestlers! 
  • At the Swim Invite at Indian Creek last week the following EHHS records fell 
    • Boys 200 Medley Relay: Walton, Henderson, Coffin, and Harris (1:54.28), Chris Walton: 200 IM (2:11.09) 
  • Our 6th Grade girls basketball team had their first game and got off to a 1-0 start with a 37-28 win over Frankton. 
  • Our 7th & 8th Grade boys basketball teams both were victorious over Rival Knightstown recently. Each team is currently 13-2. 
  • This week’s Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are:
    • HS - Elijah Harris, Boys Swimming
    • MS- Silas & Jacob Spaulding, Nick Witte, MS Boys Basketball

EH Athletics News - December 12, 2016

  • This past Saturday our Swim Team hosted the annual EH Swim Invite. Our girls finished 2nd and our boys finished 4th. Records broke on the day included: Shelby Kell: 500 Free (6:00.50) missed becoming the first girl under 6 minutes in EH history by .50 seconds, Chris Walton: 500 Free (5:26.59), Chris Walton: 100 Back (1:01.84)
  • On Saturday our 7th & 8th grade girls basketball team did a service project at the Hancock County Food Pantry
  • Also on Saturday our 7th Grade boys basketball team won the Union County Invite.
  • This coming Friday night is the Annual Varsity Girls/Boys Basketball doubleheader at Knightstown. Girls tip at 6pm with the Varsity to follow.
  • This week’s Royal Pride Athletes of the Week are:
