EH Athletics News - May 13, 2019

  • Congrats to Varsity softball who with a win over Cowan last night clinched at least a share of the MEC title
  • Congrats to Boys HS Track who became MEC Champs at the Conference Meet last night.
    • Individual Conference Champs included: Gabe Lawler (Shot Put), Skyler Schrope (800), Skyler Sexton (110 & 300 H), 4 x 800 Relay Team (Schrope, Campbell, Sotelo, Edwards), 4 x 100 Relay Team (Sarber, Arnold, Sexton, Rainbolt), 4 x 400 Relay Team (Schope, Sexton, Arnold, Sotelo)
  • The boys track will compete in the Sectional this week at Mount Vernon.
  • The Girls HS Track team finished 2nd at the MEC meet. Congrats to Aly Spaulding who was Conference Champ in the Long Jump. She also advanced to the Regional next week at Ben Davis by finishing 3rd in the Long Jump last evening at the Pendleton Heights Sectional.
  • The girls Varsity Tennis team finished the regular season last night with a win over Randolph Southern. They finished the year with a dual record of 7-7 which is a big improvement from last year. They got a bye in the Sectional. They will compete Thursday at Mt. Vernon.

EH Athletics News - May 6, 2019

  • With 2 Conference wins this week Varsity softball is a perfect 6-0 in MEC play. They can clinch the conference with wins over Wapahani Friday and Cowan next Tuesday.
  • Megan Bever has committed to play softball next year at Anderson University
  • The Softball Sectional draw is out. Below is the bracket:
  • Congrats to Skyler Sexton who again broke the EH school record for the boys 300 Hurdles with a time of 39.87 at Knightstown last evening.
  • The MEC Track Meet is this Friday at Monroe Central.
  • MEC county golf is this Saturday at Crestview Golf Course.

  • Varsity Softball is currently 7-2-1 and 3-0 in the MEC, JV softball is 2-0, 8th Grade is 4-1 with wins over New Pal & Greenfield
  • Girls Tennis is really making some strides. They are 6-5 including wins over New Castle & Rushville.

EH Athletics News - April 15, 2019

  • Spring sports are in full gear. Below are some of the highlights of what is happening.
  • Boys track were champions of the Small School Invite at Randolph Southern this past Saturday. Champions of events included
    • Cole Rainbolt- 200 M
    • Skyler Schrope- 800 M, 1600 M
    • Skyler Sexton- 110 H, 300 IH (New School Record Time 40.62)
    • Brady Stephens- Shot Put
    • Kyle Moore- Long Jump
    • 4 x 100- Kyle Moore, Skyler Sexton, Cole Rainbolt, Blayze Sarber
    • 4 x 400- Skyler Schrope, Cole Rainbolt, Cayden Sotelo, Skyler Sexton
    • 4 x 800- Dainel Campbell, Nick Edwards, Cayden Sotelo, Skyler Schrope
  • Earlier this spring we had several boys qualify for the Indoor State Meet at IU Bloomington. They included
    • 4 x 800 Relay Schrope, Edwards, Sotelo, Campbell
    • 4 x 200 Relay Sexton, Arnold, Moore, Rainbolt
    • 4 x 400 Relay Rainbolt, Sexton, Schrope, Sarber
    • LJ- Cole Rainbolt
  • Girls Track finished 2nd at the Small School Invite Saturday. They also had a number of girls qualify for Indoor State. They included
    • 4 x 200 Relay Fancher, Spaulding, Stine, O’Neal
    • 4 x 800 Relay Effing, White, Lindsay, Willis
    • LJ Aly Spaulding
  • Girls Tennis is off two a great start. They have wins over New Castle and Rushville as well as a 2nd Place finish in the EH Invite.
